EMG Het Set on Viper 1000

    EMG Het Set on Viper 1000

    I ordered the EMG Het Set. Is there any reason to change the pots in my Viper 1000 Deluxe? I currently have  the 81 85 set. Is there a quality difference at all?

    If it already has EMGs, use what's already in there. If it has Duncans, you'll need to replace the pots. Not because of quality, but the active electronics require a different resistance in the circuit than passive electronics.

      Thanks Thats what I Thought. Makes for an easy swap. UNLESS I want to add the additional volume and or tone.
