Higher tuning

Hello to everyone. I have one question. I have ESP LTD H-408B FM baritone with 27inch scale and iam thinking about to try higher tuning like this F#,B,F#, B ,E,G#,C#,F# ( it is drop B on 7 strings and eight is normal in F#). Is it a good idea tune 6 strings one step up (ofc with lighter strings)on this guitar? If i try lighter strings, will be sound still massive? And what about tension? Will be guitar neck damaged by pressure? Thanks for your answers.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. You might chose a gauge higher than the normal set that comes on the guitar, but a good setup on the guitar (especially the truss rod adjustment) should be enough to keep you well covered.

I have a 6 string baritone (27") that I tune up a half-step and barely had to adjust anything in the setup from stock.
