emg pickup connections

    I have had a look inside the rear cavity in my emg equiped ec1000fr and noticed that the connections on the pots are soldered rather than quick connect.

    This is a little worrying as I have ordered a set of EMG fat 55s to replace the stock 81/60 set and was hoping to simply unplug the old units and plug the new ones in without using the supplied kit. I hoped I would be able to use the old wiring loom for the new pickups to save messing around.

    I have not yet looked under the pickups to see if there is a quick connect system or solder joints.

    Are there any other ec1000fr owners out there who can tell me what to expect?
