Maybe I hold my guitar wrong / Is this doable?

    Maybe I hold my guitar wrong.. I didn't have this issue with my old guitar (cheap $150 Les Paul Special II). I now have the EC-1000 Evertune. The fretwires on the bottom are cutting into my finger and left a bruise.

    It's small, but I drew red arrows on them below and circled one. The little piece that hangs over the fretboard a bit.

     

     

    It bothers the hell out of me. I have a purple mark on my pointer finger.

    Is it just me? Is it just the guitar? Can/should I take them to a guitar luthier and he could do something for me?

    You can take the guitar and have the fret ends "dressed."  The luthier will probably suggest doing an entire fret level and dressing.

        If the ends of the fret wire are truly overhanging the side of the neck you may need to also check Humidity levels.  Granted most electric guitars do not run into this problem as often as Acoustic guitars.
