Anyone have one of these? Very curious about that bridge...

I've installed well over a hundred of them and they work as advertised. A few quirks, but an outstanding product.

Is it worth the $600+ investment to have one put in an existing guitar (sub $1000 initial pricetag) or just better to buy one already loaded?

That totally depends on you. If you have a guitar you love that never stays in tune, then it's worth it. If you're just looking for a guitar with one already installed, then buy new. I have one client who put one in a '63 Gibson ES-335. He also put one in a Teisco that had great sounding pickups and a great feel but never stayed in tune.
