LH-150 Pickups

So just curious how many people here actually prefer the way these pickups sound?

William An.

they're good beginner pickups, but if you're palying anything from the big 4, or anything heavier than them, you would most DEFINETLY replace them to more higher end pickups like EMG, DiMarzio, or Seymour Duncan. once you start cranking up your gain on the amp, they start to sound very muddy, espeacially on the neck pickup if you're doing any kind, any tempo of soloing stuff, they will sound very, very muddy. ESP describes them as "medium-high" output. but on the clean channel, they sound just perfect, not muddy, not too warm, not to thin, they're just perfect, espeacially the neck pickup. so yeah, poor for overdrive distortion, but great for Cleans.
