LTD ST-213 Question

LTD ST-213 Question

Does anyone have any experience with the LTD ST-213?  I mainly play hard rock and metal and have two Deans that fit that bill well.  But I was wanting a vintage strat type guitar with 3 single coil pickups that is well made but is not a Fender.  I was looking at the ST-213 with a Rosewood fretboard because I wanted to retain some bottom end.  Also, I have never played either an Ash or Alder body guitar.  I really had my mind set on the Swamp Ash, but can save $50 if I go Alder.  So what are your thoughts on the LTD ST-213 in Swamp Ash vs. Alder?

You dont look like Michael Wilton?

At those prices you cant go wrong, just my opinion (:

They are good guitars, for the money.

Thank you 6-String.

Any difference in the Swamp Ash or Alder in terms of tone?  I don't mind paying the extra $50 for the Swamp Ash if it comes with a little more bite to the tone.

I am sure some people will hear a difference but my "trained" ears can not. Noth tonewoods have always pretty much just been described as balanced. Does anybody else have a heck of a time describing a tone?

vipprimo

I describe it as warm or crisp.
