MH-350FR vs. MH-1000FR
I was thinking about picking up another Horizon-style guitar, and while the 1000-series is presumably higher quality, I much prefer the simpler binding of the 350 (or, heck, maybe even the 327). Can anyone speak to the difference in quality/feel between them? And also, just how crappy is the Floyd Rose Special on the 3xx models?

The Floyd Specials have zinc saddles instead of steel, but I have yet to have one crack or strip out. The sustain block is also garbage but you can upgrade to a brass big block for $20 which is definitely worth it. As far as the guitars go, the 1000 series is built in Korea by World Instruments, while the 350 is either going to be Chinese or Indonesian built. You'll notice little things like debris under the clearcoat, sloppy paint/binding lines, fretwork can be dodgy on the ends, etc... the Korean built instruments are the way to go overall. Try and find one used, I'm sure you can score one for the same price as the 350's go for new.
