Replacing pickups in LTD B-205SM

    I bought two EMG 40DC pickups to replace the ESP SB-5 pickups in my LTD B-205SM. Before I take out the ESP pickups can anyone tell me if they have the clip on the bottom so the EMG's will just plug in? I was going to have my local shop replace them for me but if it's a simple process I can replace them myself. Thought I would ask since there is a large amount of knowledge here.

      No. They will more than likely will not.

      Even if they do, you'd have to change the electronics. The SB-5's are passive and probably use 500K pots. You need 25K pots for the active pickups.
