M-1000 Type of wood?

    M-1000 Type of wood?
    Hello, Im a new member, from Norway. I have for a long time woundered about my M-1000, from the first year of the 1000 deluxe models, 2002. Compaire to the 2002 catalogue, the M-1000 has a alder body, in 2003 in maple and since 2006 alder. My guitar is heavy, about 4.5 kg. so I was shore it was the maple model. Is there a mistake in the 2002 catalog? Do somebody knows about this, or have a M-1000 and can tell me the year and weight?

    i think the mistake is in the 2003 catalogue, or more likely you read the specs wrong; i am guessing it has always been an alder body with a maple top. I dont think there has been any mass-produced maple only body from ESP.

      Well, then there must be a mistake in the 04 and 05 cataloges, as well.
      And some of the old Mirage (end of 80, early 90?) models was made with Maple body.
