What makes it an ESP

    OK bear with me here. I have a ESP M-I body and an LTD neck from different guitars that I am thinking of marrying. So at what point is it still an ESP if one adds different necks or hardware or electronics to the body? Is the body what makes the guitar? I know it is sort of a existential question but I just thought I would post it to get people's opinions.

    For it to be an 'ESP' made guitar, imo, you need an ESP Body & Neck. The hardware/electronics are not relevant, as they're not made by ESP to begin with.

    The cosmetics of the two product lines may be very similar, but they're produced and manufactured in very different ways, from very different quality of materials.

    It doesn't become an ESP just because part of it is an ESP ;)
