Do they use different materials in frets on some guitars? I've noticed that the frets on my MH250NT kinda have a dull appearance to them and are not real slick feeling. The frets on my Viper400 on the other hand are like freakin shiney as hell and feel really polished up. The MH was at the shop two months ago and had the frets polished, and the Viper frets have only a few months of daily playing wear no them. They use some sort of better metals in more expensive guitars? Like some cheap alloy in inexpensive guitars and titanium or some shit on more expensive models?

To my knowledge, most frets are nickel or heavily nickel based. I am almost positive that the entire LTD line would use the same frets. Remember, just because the frets are shiny has nothing to do with the quality of the underlying metal.
