ESP Viper 404 Bass String Thing...

    Anyone happen to know what the stock string is for this bass? Also, any suggestions for a good string to obtain either an SG reissue or a EB-3 70's tone.

        if you're looking for a 70's tone ESP should not be your choice in an instrument. Unless you put in some different pickups and get some flatwound strings you're pretty much out of luck. It'd probably be better to buy an Epiphone SG bass and fix it up with some new pickups, the tone would be closer.
