    viper 407 Strap button position
    I know the biggest problem with the Viper 407 is position of the neck side strap button. It's position cause the neck to drop while playing standing up. I also noticed some people put the strap button on the top cut away to correct the problem and some people move it to where the neck joint is. It seems to me that the neck joint would help the problem as it pulls the guitar up from a lower point and a more central point to even out the weight. I'm waiting for mine to come as it is back ordered. Any opinions on this. Also is the regular Viper 400 strap peg in the same awkward place?

      Put it on the end of the top horn bud and I suggest you take it to a good guitar tech. My tech drilled the whole and used a special 2 part epoxy resin of some sort to give it extra stability/strenght, as he's had a lot of busted vipers come through with split horns from guys doing home jobs.
