2007 Eclipse with EMG89 in the bridge position?

    Hi everyone

    Spotted recently very nice looking 2007 Eclipse, in vintage white/yellow (almost golden) finish, black binding, golden hardware. Good to very good condition, serial number seems valid (SS0723631). But I am wondering about pickup combo - it looks like it has EMG89 in the bridge (copper/red logo) and 81 in the neck position (silver logo). This seems odd as 81, if paired with other model, always goes to the bridge position. It may be nothing, maybe previous owners had swapped them, but you can never be too cautious.

    Has there ever been an Eclipse released with that specific EMG combo? (89 bridge, 81 neck).

    EMG pickups are easily swapped in and out. It's likely that a previous owner did that.

    If you're concerned about authenticity, post some photos and we'll be able to help you identify if it's legit or not.

        Looks good to me. Just a flavor the previous owner liked for the pickups.
