Cleaning Gold Guitar Hardware

    What is the best way to clean gold guitar hardware? Or what is the best product? It appears that the gold on my bridge is not coming off but the top coat of gold starting coming off and it appears to look shinier. Is that bad?

    In my experience, I have found the best way to clean gold hardware is to replace it with black.

          Iv had this problem at work with a number of guitars and Iv found that Ernie Ball Wonder Wipes + a bit of elbow grease are best
