2016, Mr. Donald Morin revived role of Minister Riel and his music for The Film Anthology;Tales from The Dead Zone; Inside the Room Episode and a Performance Rally for The Standing Rock Defense Event in the USA. Donald’s music submission ‘Walking with Sweet Mary’has won best folk balled song award for the February 2016 Akademia Music Awards. Mr. Morin also performed his music at a Reconciliation event in Sherwood Park Alberta 2015, and performed at the Truth & Reconciliation Eventin Edmonton and Neechie Festival, outside of Calgary Alberta in 2014 He completed his recurring character Johnny on BLACKSTONE, a Canadian TV series shot in Edmonton, AB and performed for the Rubaboo Arts Festival 2011. Other performance work consisted of a singing and acting role in The Tipping Point for Theatre in the Raw and The Heart of The City Festival, and the Lead Musical role of SAM WOLF in IOU LAND for Caravan Farm Theatre, in Armstrong, BC, 2005. Previous works involve completing the DVD of his 7 Fires 4 U…Kitchi Manitou feature film project, and the role of "Pozzo" in Waiting for Godot 1998. Spring 1997, Donald completed his modern dance work with The Karen Jamieson Dance Company in Stone Soup . He also was involved with the First Nations Advisory board for the "Four Circles, Soaring Visions" project; Scheduled for 1998 -2000 release and tour initiated by The Richmond Art Gallery, The University of British Columbia, and The University of South Australia. March 94, he worked as a principal actor in the NBC Movie of The Week Jonathan Stone, Threat of Innocencewith Richard Crenna and Beverly De'Angelo in Seattle, Washington. Donald Morin performed the LEAD role of Eddy LaRoche in the Quebec 35mm film Windigoin 1993, which won an award at film festivals in Toronto and honorable mentioned at Cannes France. Donald’s work has included CBC news, Headline Theatre's BC tour of Out of The Silence . In 1992 Donald performed at F.I.N.D 92. Festival International Nouveau Dance in Montreal. In 1989 he wrote and produced the radio play, Schoolyards and Old Town and graduated from Simon Fraser University, majoring in fine and performing arts with a film concentration. In 1986 he studied film & video with The Chief Dan George memorial Society, and worked with U.S. film-maker Phil Lucas. Donald Morin maintained an affiliation with the Directors Guild of Canada from 1983-1989 and acting representation with The Jerry Lodge Talent Agency from 1981-1992. Donald completed his bachelor of Arts Degree with a Fine & Performing Arts Major avec Film Concentration at SFU 1989. Mr. Morin began his 27-year career in the film, television, and theatre business September,1980 and continues to work as a performer and filmmaker today.
