San Jose Sharks Auction Metallica Guitars for Charity

San Jose Sharks Auction Metallica Guitars for Charity

If you're a hockey fan, it's a big time of year. As of this moment, the Stanley Cup finals are in full swing, and the Pittsburgh Penguins are facing off against a scrappy San Jose Sharks team, with a crucial Game 4 of the series happening tonight. What does any of this have to do with ESP, you ask?

In conjunction with Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield of Metallica, the San Jose Sharks are auctioning off two guitars to benefit The Sharks Foundation, a charitable organization of the team that is dedicated to enhancing the lives of underserved youth and families in the community with an emphasis in the areas of education, health and safety, and character development. The auction also benefits Little Kids Rock, a national nonprofit that is dedicated to building a world where kids can live rich, purposeful lives by ensuring that all public school children have the opportunity to unlock their inner music makers. These guitars are the ones that Kirk and James will be playing tonight during the national anthem at Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals! But wait... each guitar is also going to be signed by all four members of Metallica (Kirk and James plus Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo).

This isn't only a great chance to do something positive for the community. It's also an opportunity to get a great deal on some highly collectible guitars. The LTD Kirk Hammett Signature Series KH-602 is a neck-thru-body guitar design for the highest level of shred, with EMG pickups and a Floyd Rose bridge. The LTD James Hetfield Signature Series Vulture is James's newest addition to his ESP signature models, with a mahogany body and neck, ebony fingerboard, and James's own EMG JH Set active pickups.

Click here to check out the auction and place a bid. The auction will run until June 15. You'll be getting more than a killer, one-of-a-kind guitar; you'll be doing something good for the world. Bid now!
